Fund initiators

The term fund initiator is used by Universal-Investment to describe the partners with whom it launches and services private label funds. The name of the fund generally also contains the name (or label) of the fund initiator.


Private label funds as a proof of success

The fund initiator generally acts as an adviser to Universal-Investment’s portfolio management department and as main sales partner for the fund. This guarantees that the asset management style preferred by the respective partner is also integrated in the fund. This means that the private label fund reflects the success of the fund adviser’s investment philosophy.

Division of responsibilities offers access to the fund market

According to this product concept, both partners concentrate on their core competencies: fund advisory services and fund administration. This efficient division of responsibilities offers the fund initiator extremely simple and price-effective access to the German fund market.
